Εθελοντικός καθαρισμός της παραλίας του Αγίου Φωκά πραγματοποιήθηκε την περασμένη Τρίτη 09/04 στο πλαίσιο του προγράμματος Erasmus με τίτλο “Making the utopia a reality”. Το πρόγραμμα υλοποιήθηκε στο νησί μας από τις 06 – 12/04  από τον Δημήτρη Πανέλη & τον οργανισμό του “On Hold”.

Οργανώθηκαν επίσης επισκέψεις στο πρόγραμμα “Ydrousa”, το “Ecolodge”, το “Under the Linden Tree”, καθώς επίσης στα μουσεία Μαρμαροτεχνίας & Χαλεπά στον Πύργο. Τέλος, οι 47 συμμετέχοντας από Πολωνία, Βουλγαρία, Ιταλία, Ισπανία & Ελλάδα περπάτησαν τη διαδρομή των μονοπατιών Ξώμβουργο – Κουμάρος – Βωλάξ υπό την ξενάγηση του “Soul of Tinos” (Μάρκος Παλαμάρης).

Λίγα λόγια για τους στόχους του προγράμματος Erasmus “Making the utopia a reality”

Human history is ridden with dreams of utopias. However, the transition from ideas to reality is a difficult endeavor beyond the ardent attempts, ideas and visions outlining societies, communities and inspired individuals.  The modern utopia sets nature center stage, the premise that everything else follows from, and something that is fundamentally intertwined with humanity: If the natural world is damaged, civilization in its entirety comes at risk. Therefore, the impetus required for changes is no longer just an aspiration for an improved life, but for survival and this may be the reason why this utopia is likely to come closer to realization than others of the past.

This project at the youth field entitled “Making the utopia a reality” -Active for a living planet, is a step for changes to can slowly make reality the utopia of a sustainable planet. The young participants, here in Tinos, in the most religious tourism destination in Greece with the crystal waters and the picturesque villages, have a colossal learning goal, to equip with knowledge, skills and competences needed for addressing a major challenge humanity is facing, to understand better the need for changes in daily lifestyle and to adopt a meaningful participation in society and a respectful engagement with nature.

The project creates new learning chances for the youngsters but also it builds on the experience and best practices from the previous Erasmus+ projects : “Revolution on Hold” (@revolutiononhold)  and  “The harmony of spheres”  (@the_harmony_of_spheres)
